Lee's Graziano Leads South All-Stars
Lee High sophomore Madeline Graziano has been voted the most valuable player in the Berkshire County South girls soccer league by a vote of the league’s coaches after leading the Wildcats to 10 wins and a berth in the Western Mass quarter-finals.
Graziano, a forward, is one of six Wildcats named first team all-league.
She is joined by classmate Karlie Retzel up top, midfielders Nikki Laudon and Kate Delsignor and defenders Cara Walker and Megan Cook.
Drury, Monument Mountain and Taconic each have three players on the all-North first team.
Drury senior Heather Morris was voted the league’s top goalkeeper. She is joined on the first team by junior forward Jill Tietgens and junior defender Liv Carlson.
Monument forward Ericca Broderick, midfielder Bennie Lopez and defender Molly Amstead made the team.
Taconic contributes three seniors: forward Rachel Donahue and middies Gillian Campbell and Lauren Mangiardi.
The second team includes eighth-grader Gwendolyn Carpenter of Mount Everett. The rest of the second unit is: Monument’s Halle Hassett and Crista Cardillo, Lee’s Cece Lawson and Abby Brown, Drury’s Celene Koperek and Jenna Moulton and Taconic’s Brooke Mangiardi and Shea Hassett.
