Simmons Leads Lee Past Taconic

LEE, Mass. – Payton Simmons had a hat trick Wednesday to lead the Lee girls soccer team to a 6-0 win over Taconic.
 
She scored the eventual game-winner in the eighth minute with an assist from Jenna Simone.
 
Simone went on to have another assist and score a goal of her own. Ava Lucy scored twice, and Hannah McDonough set up a pair of goals.
 
Maddie Kotek made 11 saves to earn the shutout win in goal.
 
Taconic used three different keepers: Stephanie Satrape, Emily Roberts and Talia Pope.
 
The Thunder (0-3) go to Smith Academy on Friday.
 
Lee (1-2) goes to Mount Everett on Friday.
