Lee Girls Drop Opener to Springfield ICS

LEE, Mass. – Allanah Chambers scored a pair of goals Thursday to lead the Springfield International Charter School girls soccer team to a 6-1 win over Lee in the Wildcats’ season opener.

 

Leanne Driscoll scored on a direct kick from just outside the 18 in the first half to send lee into the break down just 2-1.

 

But Chambers scored her second her second, and Alana Williams and Gabby Taveras added second-half goals for the Bulldogs, who also benefited from an own goal.

 

Hailey Morin had a goal and an assist for SICS.

 

Maddie Kotek stopped 20 shots in goal for Lee.

 

The Wildcats (0-1) go to Hopkins Academy on Monday.
