PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Grady Pedersen had a goal and an assist as the Pittsfield boys soccer team Saturday scored four times in the second half of a 4-0 win over Taconic.

Taconic keeper Cody Latimer made 23 saves, but eventually Pittsfield’s pressure got the better of things in the final 20 minutes.

“We had possession for most the game, and got a lot of looks,” Pittsfield coach Andrew Antil said. “Cody was outstanding and turned away everything we through at him for the first hour. I told the boys at half time to be patient, pick up the speed of play a bit and we would get our chances.”

In the 61st minute, Pedersen converted a Luke Dallenbach cross into the box to break the stalemate.

Pedersen set up Evan Dempsey about three mintues later, and Jackson Rich made it 3-0 with an assist from Max Whalen. In the final minute, Dallenbach earned his second assist of the game on a goal by Vinny Coppola.

Jon Bile made two saves to get the shutout.

Pittsfield (8-3-6) finishes its regular season Tuesday at Wahconah in a game rescheduled from Thursday.

Taconic finishes its season at 4-13-1.
