PIttsfield Boys Settle for a Tie at Hampshire

WESTHAMPTON, Mass. – Hampshire Regional’s Owen Miller scored his second goal in the final minute of the game to give his team a 2-2 tie against Pittsfield on Friday.
 
Miller scored the game’s first goal 15 minutes in, but Pittsfield’s Kyle Cardoso found the back of the net with an assist from Matt Burega in the 29th minute.
 
With about 16 minutes left, Owen Klatka scored on a set piece with an assist from Gustavo De Oliveira to take its first lead.
 
“Once we went up 2-1 you can feel the constant pressure and effort from Hampshire to find the tying goal,” Pittsfield coach Ryan Wanek said. “They were able to pour on pressure and find a late goal with 42 seconds left to save the game. Credit to Hampshire for not giving up. We need to find ways to close these games out.”
 
Connor Devine made six saves for Pittsfield.
 
The Generals (8-2-3) host Mount Greylock on Monday at Kirvin Park.
