SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Pope Francis boys soccer team Monday scored two goals off corner kicks in the second half to earn a 2-1 win over Pittsfield.

After a scoreless first half with few scoring chances for either team, the Cardinals broke through on a set piece to take the lead and then went up 2-0 before Kyle Cardoso converted a penalty kick.

Pittsfield (4-1-2) is off until it hosts Agawam next Tuesday.
