DALTON, Mass. – Kyle Cardoso scored two goals and assisted on a third on Saturday to lead the Pittsfield boys soccer team to a 5-0 win over Wahconah.

Cardoso set up Owen Klatka for the game-winner just 8 minutes, 26 seconds into the match, and the Generals went on to a 4-0 lead at half-time.

“Pittsfield came out on fire against Wahconah, playing fast and quick between the lines,” PHS coach Ryan Wanek said. “Finding the first goal inside 10 minutes of the game, we never looked back. It was a full team effort by Pittsfield tonight.”

Cardoso scored two straight before Drake Thompson found the back of the net with an assist from Klatka.

Mathew Burega scored in the second half.

Pittsfield (4-0-2) is at Pope Francis on Monday.

Wahconah (4-3) goes to Frontier on Tuesday.
