AGAWAM, Mass. – Owen Klatka scored a pair of goals, and the Pittsfield boys soccer team Thursday battled Agawam to a 3-3 tie.

The hosts scored the only goal of the second half after Kyle Cordoso scored with an assist from Daniel Mosquera to give Pittsfield a 3-2 lead at halftime.

Cordoso also had an assist for the Generals, as did Armando Correas.

“Both teams battled to the last minute of a hard fought game,” PHS coach Ryan Wanek said. “Agawam fought back from being down three times in today's game. They were resilient and played with a never die attitude that we can all appreciate.

“Both teams fought to the end to find a winner. A game where both teams can learn valuable lessons to take with them the rest of the season.”

Connor Devine stopped 10 shots for Pittsfield.

The Generals (1-0-1) go to Great Barrington to play Monument Mountain on Monday.
