Monument Mountain Boys Blank Mahar

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Noel Powell scored in the 33rd minute, and the Monument Mountain boys soccer team went on to a 2-0 win over Mahar on Wednesday as the Spartans qualified for the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.

 

Nate Lacombe assisted on Powell’s game-winner.

 

Nicky Huertas added an unassisted insurance goal in the 54th minute.

 

Eddie Boyko made two saves to earn the shutout in goal.

 

Monument Mountain (8-3-1) goes to Lenox on Monday.
