Powell Powers Monument Mountain Boys to Victory

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Noel Powell scored twice and set up the third goal Friday to lead the Monument Mountain boys soccer team to a 3-0 win over Wahconah.

 

Nate Lacombe scored the eventual game-winner in the 13th minute. Powell scored twice in the second half on assists from Patrick Yeung and Wilson Sprague.

 

Rhys Curtis made three saves to earn the shutout in goal.

 

Kyle Brogan stopped 11 shots for Wahconah (5-6-1), which hosts Drury on Monday.

 

Monument Mountain (7-3-1) goes to Amherst on Monday.
