Westfield Tech Tops St. Joe Boys in Quarters

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Sergey Kabysh scored the game's only goal to lead the Westfield Tech boys soccer team to a 1-0 win over St. Joseph on Friday in the Western Massachusetts Divison 4 quarterfinals.

 

Anatoliey Suprunchuk stopped five shots to earn the shutout win.

 

St. Joe's Joey Maynard stopped 13 shots as the Crusaders ended their season 11-2-5.

 

Westfield Tech (16-1-2) will meet second-seeded Lenox (12-5-2) in the sectional semi-finals on Tuesday. The Millionaires topped Gateway on Friday, 1-0.

 

Earlier this season, Lenox beat Westfield Voc, 6-2.
