Hirsch Scores Twice to Lead Mount Greylock on Road

CHICOPEE, Mass. -- The Mount Greylock boys soccer team defeated Division 1 Chicopee Tuesday afternoon, 4-2.

 

Crow Brennan opened the scoring for the Mounties in the first half unassisted. Following Brennan's goal, Eric Hirsch put one in off a pass from Benni McComish.

 

Chicopee responded and put one in to end the half at 2-1.

 

Greylock came out in the second half and scored two more goals from Sam Dils and Hirsch. Chicopee scored once more, but Greylock was able to hold them to that only goal for the win.

 

The victory gave Mount Greylock (8-1) a berth in the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament. 

 

Mount Greylock will travel to Dalton Thursday to face Wahconah.
