LENOX, Mass. -- Eric Hirsch scored a goal and set up four more to lead the Mount Greylock boys soccer team to a 5-1 win over Lenox on Thursday night.

Hirsch assisted on three goals in the first 13 minutes of the game as the Mounties jumpd out to a 4-0 half-time lead.

"Eric Hirsch was on fire with a goal and four assists," Mount Greylock coach Blair Dils said. His work rate was outstanding, and he made so many good things happen in the attacking third tonight. Dan [Flynn] and Sam [Dils] clearly benefited from all the hard work Eric did."

Flynn scored two goals, including one in the fifth minute to get the ball rolling for Mount Greylock. Flynn and Sam Dills scored twice a minute apart to make it 3-0 in the early stages.

Hirsch converted an assist from Grant Raphael to push the lead to 4-0 and set up Dils midway through the second half to finish the scoring.

"Even though he didn't figure in the scoring tonight, Felix Kershaw was dominant in the midfield," Blair Dils said. "The offense flowed through him tonight, and he definitely had one of his best games of the season."

In the final minute, Lenox's Mike Hedges snuck one past Cal Filson (three saves) to get the Millionaires on the board.

"It's always great getting two poitns on the road against a North opponent," Dils said. "That we could do it in such a convincing fashion was surprising, and we'll be sure to be ready for a much tougher game the next time we get together."

Lenox visits Mount Greylock on Sept. 30. The Mounties (5-0) travel to Pittsfield on Tuesday.
