Generals Come Back to Top Mount Greylock

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Pittsfield boys soccer team scored three times in the second half to earn a 3-1 win over Mount Greylock.
 
Owen Klatka scored a goal and assisted on two more in the come-from-behind win.
 
Kofi Roberts gave the Mounties a 1-0 lead early on with an assist from Will Igoe.
 
“Greylock was able to score within the first five minutes of the game,” Pittsfield coach Ryan Wanek said. “They set the tempo the entire first half and waited for Pittsfield to answer. Second half is where Pittsfield did have an answer. They came out fired up and were able to score the equalizer five minutes into the second half.”
 
Kyle Cardoso scored that equalizer with an assist from Klatka. The game-winner came from Klatka with an assist from Cardoso.
 
Gustavo De Oliveira added an insurance goal for the Generals.
 
Connor Devine stopped four shots to earn the win in goal.
 
Pittsfield (7-2-2) is at Westfield on Wednesday.
 
Mount Greylock (4-7) hosts Monument Mountain on Wednesday.
