WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Lucas Ritson converted his second penalty kick try of the game Monday to lead the Agawam boys soccer team to a 1-0 win over Mount Greylock.

Ritson had a PK in the first half that was denied by Mount Greylock keeper Ward Bianchi to keep it a scoreless game at half-time.

In the second half, however, Ritson was able to find the back of the net to put his team on top.

“Mount Greylock had several chances, but goalkeeper Ben Lang kept the Mounties off the board,” Mount Greylock coach Erin Sullivan said. I believe the Mounties had five shots, so we didn’t generate enough offense, but we’re hoping to turn it around as we go to Vermont for the John James Memorial Tournament on Thursday.”

The first game in that tournament at Mount Anthony sees the Mounties (0-2) face Burr and Burton of Manchester at 5 p.m.
