Calvert Game-Winner Sends Wahconah to Sweet 16

DALTON, Mass. -- Brody Calvert scored in the 76th minute to break a 1-1 tie and give the Wahconah boys soccer team a 2-1 win over Northeast Metro in the Division 4 State Tournament.

 

Metro took a lead midway through the first half on an own goal. Wahconah answered in the 51st minute with an own goal of its own.

 

Eighth-seeded Wahconah moves on to the Round of 16, where on Wednesday it will host the winner of Sunday's playoff game between Nantucket and Shawsheen Valley.
