Hoosac Valley, Taconic Boys Play to Stalemate

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Hoosac Valley's Dante Richards scored a late goal to give the Hurricanes a 1-1 tie against Taconic on Friday.

 

Taconic (3-2-1) took a 1-0 lead midway through the second half when Luis Rodriguez cashed in a rebound.

 

After the 'Canes controlled more of the play in the first half, Taconic came out of half-time and took it to the home team, Hoosac coach Mike Russo said.

 

"It was a very entertaining, competitive soccer match."

 

Cody Latimer made seven saves for Taconic, while Hoosac's John Horton stopped four shots.

 

Hoosac (2-1-4) hosts Pittsfield on Monday, while Taconic hosts Monument Mountain.
