PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Frederick Yankey recorded a hat trick, and the Taconic boys soccer team played strong defense in a 7-0 win over Ware on Friday.

“Goalie Jeremiah Asenso had another great game,” Taconic coach Jason Keller said. “He had about three shots on goal and he took care of all of them. The defensive lineup of Drew Gresser, David Gonazalez, Fabian Agrelo, and Steven Orellano is a tough group of four that most teams have trouble getting past.”

Jeremiah Cudjoe scored a pair of goals, and Dylan Gonzalez had a goal and an assist. Drew Gresser converted a second-half penalty kick, and Andres Toapanta set up three goals.

Taconic (8-7-1) takes a five-match winning streak into Tuesday’s regular season finale at Hoosac Valley.
