PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Jeremiah Cudjoe scored with an assist from Andy Toapanta to break a tie and send the Taconic boys soccer team on to a 2-1 win over McCann Tech on Tuesday.

After a scoreless first half, the Thunder opened the scoring when Mario Bonilla set up defender Frederick Yankey for a goal on a corner kick.

Moments later, the Hornets leveled the score on a direct kick by Zach Gelinas from 22 yards out that slipped through keeper Jeremiah Asenso’s hands.

“Jeremiah kept his head up and played well to watch his teammate score the winning goal four minutes later,” Taconic coach Jason Keller said.

Taconic (2-1) goes to Westfield Tech on Thursday.

Ben Harris had five saves for McCann Tech (1-1), which hosts Ware on Thursday.
