Marauszwski, Calvert Lead Wahconah in Season Opener

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Brody Calvert and Ryan Marauszwski each scored a pair of goals Wednesday to lead the Wahconah boys soccer team to a 6-1 win over Mount Everett.

 

Calvert scored in the second minute of the game, and Brady Payson and Marauszwski each scored first-half goals to give Wahconah a 3-1 lead.

 

Wahconah's Sean Kays capped the win with a goal in the 76th minute for the final margin.

 

Nathaniel Von Ruden scored midway through the first half for Mount Everett.

 

The Eagles (0-1) go to South Hadley on Thursday.

 

Wahconah (1-0) is home on Friday night against Mahar.
