Chen, Liang Lift McCann Tech Boys Over Drury
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Justin Chen Thursday scored in the 44th minute to break a scoreless tie and send the McCann Tech boys soccer team on to a 2-0 win over rival Drury.
Ivan Liang added some insurance in the final two minutes of play with his fourth goal of the season.
“Great possession of the ball this afternoon, good ball-handling,” McCann Tech coach Stephen McAllister said. “We just had trouble finishing at the end. Solid performance by the defense keeping the ball on the opposite end of the field.
“All in all a good performance by the McCann boys.”
The Hornets (2-0-1) travel to face Westfield Tech on Friday.
Drury (1-3) goes to Gateway on Friday.
