McCann Tech Boys Settle for Tie on Road
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The McCann Tech boys soccer team controlled the play but not the scoreboard in a 0-0 tie at Commerce on Monday afternoon.
"McCann's defense played very well keeping the ball in Commerce's end of the field and only allowed a few shots from outside the 18," Hornets coach Tom Bona said. "The ball didn't bounce in McCann's favor today, that's soccer."
McCann earned a 21-6 advantage in shots and a 9-1 edge in corner kicks.
Hornets keeper Chris Gajda made all six saves he had to for McCann to earn its sixth shutout this fall.
McCann Tech (10-4-1) travels to face Smith Voc on Friday.
