NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Jon Leal scored a goal and assisted on two more as the McCann Tech boys soccer team beat St. Mary's, 3-0, on Friday for the Hornets' second win in two games this fall.

Leal set up Shane Fuller for the game-winner 12 minutes into the game and then hooked up with Evan Lemire for two more goals before half-time. First Lemire fed Leal, and then Leal returned the favor, setting up Lemire for McCann's 10th goal in two games.

"We controlled the play in the first half offensively and defensively against a strong St. Mary's team," McCann coach Tom Bona said. "The second half St. mary's came out and played a physical game, challenging our offense. But our defense stayed strong and forced much of the play in St. Mary's end.  Josh Buda, Conner Little and Dillon Carr along with there teammates held St. Mary's at bay."

Chris Gajda made nine saves in the McCann goal.

The Hornets travel to face Ware on Tuesday.
