McCann Rebounds with Win over Smith Voc.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Senior Chad Raimer scored a goal to start each half, helping the McCann Tech boys' soccer team shake off a two-game losing streak with a 4-1 home win over Smith Voc. on Tuesday.

Raimer hooked up with sophomore Shane Fuller for both of his goals, the first of which came just 53 seconds into the game to give McCann (6-5) a quick 1-0 lead. Hornets sophomore Kevin Dowling scored his second goal of the season nine minutes later, but the Vikings got got a goal back before halftime thanks to a Nick Adair strike just three minutes before the break. 

Fuller connected with Raimer again 10 minutes after halftime, though, giving the unselfish forward his team-leading ninth assist of the season. Raimer then started spreading the love around too, setting up junior Evan LeMire for the clincher in the 67th minute of play. 

McCann, which improved to 4-1 in Tri-County League play with the win, next plays at Mount Everett at 4 p.m. on Friday.
