Lupiani Goal Lifts Mount Everett Boys

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Anthony Lupiani scored the game’s only goal in the 10th minute to lead the Mount Everett boys soccer team to a 1-0 win over Taconic on Friday.

 

Nathaniel VonRuden set up the game-winner, and Patrick Silk made one save to earn the shutout in goal.

 

“Both teams played an even match today,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “We were able to sneak one by on some good passing.”

 

Jaden Cross stopped six shots for Taconic (0-8), which hosts Lenox on Monday.

 

Mount Everett (6-3) hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday.
