Taconic Rolls into Western Mass Final
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Six different players scored for the Taconic football team in a dominating 58-6 win over Easthampton on Friday in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 playoffs.
Anthony Whiteley and Zach Gage scored twice apiece.
Gage scored the final two TDs for top-seeded Taconic (8-1), reaching the end zone twice in the third quarter to put his team up, 58-0.
Jake McNeice scored on a 16-yard run and threw a 30-yard TD pass to Devon Walker.
Jake Galliher scored from 50 yards out, and Cedric Rose ran it in from the five.
On Saturday in Holyoke, Taconic is set to take on second-seeded Longmeadow (5-3), a 49-16 winner over Northampton in Friday’s other semi-final.
