McCann Rolls Up 486 Yards Rushing in Road Win
WARE, Mass. -- Dakota Bolte ran for 214 yards, and Nick Lincoln ran for three touchdowns as the McCann Tech football team improved to 3-0 on Friday with a 34-14 win over Ware.
Ware (2-1) struck first when it returned the opening kickoff 75 yards, but McCann rolled off the next three scores: a 37-yard run by Lincoln, a 46-yard keeper by QB Mike Ferrara and a 1-yard Lincoln run.
Ware scored again before half-time to make it 22-14, but McCann put the game away with its powerful ground attack after half-time.
"The offensive line really controlled the line of scrimmage," McCann coach Bob LeClair said. "They created great lanes for kids to run through all night."
The Hornets amassed 486 yards on the ground led by Bolte and Lincoln (125 yards). Adam Dufur ran for 61 yards.
Lincoln and Bolte capped the scoring in the second half on runs of 8 yards and 46 yards, respectively.
The Hornets are home next Saturday to face Pathfinder (3-0) in a battle for first place in the Tri-County League.
