Through the Woodlands Partnership Program, the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) is awarding grants to ten rural communities and six regional conservation and economic development organizations to improve access to outdoor recreation in public forests, enhance the safety of outdoor play, and implement climate resilient forestry practices.
The $360,000 pilot program will fund a statewide mobility management pilot, including hiring a statewide mobility manager and related contractual and administrative support.

In March of 2023, SVHC entered into a purchase and sale agreement of the campus with Alfred Weissman Real Estate, LLC (AWRE). Since then, AWRE has been working toward the development of a five-star destination resort.
