Armand Joseph Senay, 94

Armand Joseph Senay, 94, of North Adams, MA, died April 3, 2025 at North Adams Regional Hospital. He was born in North Adams on January 19, 1931, a son of the late Joseph Henri and Aurore “Ora” (Chenaille) Senay.

Armand attended local schools graduating from Drury High School. After high school he graduated from ICS in Scranton, PA with an accounting degree. Armand worked as a comptroller in the filter division at Sprague Electric and General Electric.

Armand served in the Army obtaining the rank of Sergeant during the Korean War assigned to the 74th Eng. Combat Battalion from Dec. 1952 – April 1954. During his service, he obtained the Korean War Veteran Service Medal with two bronze SVC stars, merit unit commendations with the 8th Army, United Nation Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Marksmanship Medal.

Armand was a member of many groups, Post 125 of North Adams, Eucharistic Minister St. Anthony of Padua Church, Board of Directors of the North Adams Historical Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, finance committee, and the pre-cana program of the St. Anthony of Pauda Parish.

Armand leaves behind his wife Elizabeth Ann (Swartzer) Senay, children Stephen J. Senay of North Adams, Christopher T. Senay (Karen) of Hinsdale, grandchildren Stephen J. Senay Jr. (Anne), Michael R. Senay (Peggy), Crystal R. Senay, great grandchildren Nicholas Senay, Brina Brazee, Hannah Senay, Zachary Mancini, Armand Senay, and Leo Senay. He is predeceased by his son Armand A. Senay who died in 2018.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A liturgy of Christian Burial for Armand Senay will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday April 9, 2025 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams, MA. Calling hours will take place Tuesday April 8, 2025 from 4-7 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes- West Chapels, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA.
