Beverly Rougeau, 88

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Beverly Thresa (Mondia) Rougeau, 88 of North Adams, MA died on Saturday January 18, 2025 at her home.

She was born in North Adams, MA on November 29, 1936, a daughter of Joseph T. Mondia and Mary (Ashkar) Mondia. She graduated from Drury High School.

Beverly started her career at Sprague Electric Co but spent most of her professional life working alongside her husband and the Ted Rougeau Trucking Company. She was an exceptional bookkeeper, a key part of the business, answering calls and managing the jobs.

Beverly’s love for her family was at the heart of everything she did. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always making sure they felt loved and supported. Beverly had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, whether they were family, friends, or someone new. She loved nothing more than cooking up a storm and making sure no one ever left her table hungry. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she cared about will always be remembered.

Beverly was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a longtime volunteer at its annual bazaar. She enjoyed playing the piano for her family and friends and entertained the residents at several area nursing homes. Beverly also loved spending her time being creative, whether it was knitting, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or diving into fun craft projects. She had a knack for turning simple things into something special and meaningful.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Charles Rougeau whom she married on September 6, 1958 and two daughters, Wendy M. (Bernard) Gwozdz of Pittsfield, MA and Linda R. (Jeremy) Euto of Skaneateles, NY. She also leaves four grandchildren including Sarah N. Euto of San Francisco, CA; Benjamin C. Euto of Syracuse, NY; Brian Gwozdz of Pittsfield, MA and Danielle (Ryan) Cowan of Watertown, NY; two great grandchildren, Brynley Cowan and Payton Cowan; one brother, Joseph (Sandra) Mondia of Clarksburg, MA and nieces and nephews.
