Donald Eugene Tatro Sr. 86

Donald Eugene Tatro Sr, 86 of North Adams died on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in North Adams on March 27, 1938 a son of the late Eugene Tatro & Mildred (Day) Tatro Bleil Denault.

Donald attended schools in North Adams including Drury High School. He was a Veteran of the Massachusetts National Guard. He owned and operated with his wife Yvonne of the Hoosac Tunnel Restaurant and Adams Station. He was also employed at Sprague Electric and Bear Swamp.

Donald had a love for boxing, he was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard in North Adams and a proud member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #487 in North Adams, for 49 years. He served as Berkshire County Deputy Sherrif. Upon retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, driving his 1965 mustang with his wife Yvonne through the area, Tag Sales and restoring furniture.

Besides his beloved wife of 65 years, Yvonne (Bushee) Tatro he leaves his children, Dawn Horn (Tom), Donald Tatro Jr. (Donna), Daniel Tatro (Jean), Darcy Poplaski (John), Doreen Torres (Wayne), Tammy Renard, Terry Nichols (William), grandchildren, Mitchell, Nichole, Jessica, Caitlin, Donald, Jacob, William, Tyler, Justin, Hunter, Robert, Troy and great grandchildren, David, Rosaleigh, Paisley, Lillianna, Tavin, Daxton, Kadik; brothers, Clayton (Pat) Tatro, Shane (Annalisa) Bleil and sister, Kathie Hohn Byron. He also leaves his beloved cat, Thor. He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Eugene Tatro and brother Eugene Tatro “Dean”.
