Salvatore Gianquinto Jr.

1941-2021

The family of Salvatore Gianquinto Jr., of North Adams, wishes to announce his death, which occurred on August 12, 2021 at North Adams Commons. Cause of death was complications from Covid.

A lifelong resident of North Adams, he graduated from the former St Joseph’s High School. He was employed in the maintenance department of the former Berkshire Mall for many years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Ida Gianquinto; and a sister, Emma Mason. He is survived by two sisters, Flavia Gilmore of San Marcos, CA; and Betsey Burdick, of Williamstown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private memorial service.

In his memory, donations may be made to the Northern Berkshire Adult Education Program, in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUENRALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.

I worked with Sal for a lot of years at Williams inn and loved him like a brother he was hard working and always helpful. R.I.P My friend.

I’m so sorry to hear that Salvatore passed, I worked with him at Excelsior Process & Engraving \ Crane & Co. Sal was such a good guy, always laughing and a hard worker. He seemed to be happy living a simple life.
