Jane R. Nevares, 75

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Jane Rose (Pikul) Nevares, 75, of Adams, died peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at her home with her sister and brother by her side.

She was born in Adams on August 10, 1949, a daughter of the late Peter and Frances (Kozik) Pikul. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams Memorial High School.

Following her graduation, Jane attended the Hartford Airline Personnel School and started her career working as an agent for United Airlines in New York City then in Hawaii. She had worked as a travel agent for numerous travel agencies in the Berkshires and lastly had worked as a clerk for many years in the North Adams District Court until retiring.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Jane loved traveling, especially to NYC and Cape Cod, gardening, feeding the birds, decorating for holidays and baking. She enjoyed watching Broadway plays, attending craft fairs and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her brother Richard Pikul and his wife Dianna of Cheshire; her sister, Lorraine Kalisz and her husband Richard of Adams and by many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

The funeral procession will begin on Friday, October 11th at 9:00 A.M. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
