Carol Morin,80

NORTH ADAMS  Carol Douglas Morin, 80, of North Adams passed away peacefully at North Adams Regional Hospital on August 24, 2024.

She was born on June 28, 1944 to the late William and Edna (Wisniowski) Douglas. Carol attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School in 1962. She attended North Adams State College where she earned both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Education. Carol was a teacher in the North Adams public school system for 33 years. After her retirement, she traveled and enjoyed socializing with friends, shopping and bowling. She was an ardent fan of the Red Sox and loved watching the New England Patriots.

Carol is survived by her brother Thomas Douglas of Naples, Florida; a sister Mary Jane Desmarais (Jerry) of North Adams, and her two nephews: William Desmarais of Adams and Eric Douglas (Lisa) of St. Augustine, Florida. She also leaves behind two great nephews and a great niece: Luke Douglas, Nolan Douglas, and Whitney Douglas.

She was predeceased by her husband William Morin, who passed in 1995 and sister-in-law Sally Douglas who passed in 2023.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Carol Morin will be celebrated Tuesday September 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning at Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of the North Adams Public Library through the funeral home. Mary Jane and Jerry...I am saddened to learn of the passing of Carol. Carol and Joan shared many teaching moments together . Joan always referred to Carol as an excellent teacher who nurtured and treated each one with love and warmth
