Frances Shirley (O’Neill) Unsworth, 89 of North Adams died on Friday, August 9, 2024 at North Adams Commons.

She was born in North Adams, MA on February 16, 1935 a daughter of the late William & Mary Louise (Cheney) O’Neill. Frances graduated from Dury High School. She was employed at Sprague Electric Company for many years retiring in 1978.

Frances leaves her daughter, Linda Sukel & her husband Robert Waverly of PA. She also leaves grandsons, Connor Garrity and Jacob Sukel. She was predeceased by her daughter Mary “Mary Lou” Louise Unsworth Garrity who died January 5, 2012 and her son in law, Robert Sukel who died January 18, 2021. She also was predeceased by her siblings, Florence Bishop in 2014, William O’Neil in 1987 and Grace Scarfone in 2015.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Frances Unsworth will take place at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
