Christina R. Pringle, 99
ADAMS, Mass. — Christina R. Pringle, 99, of Adams, passed away Saturday May 11, 2024 at the Springside Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Pittsfield. Born in North Adams on September 22, 1924, daughter of the late James P. and Margaret M. (McGovern) Mullen, she attended local schools.
She also was a graduate of the former St. Luke’s Hospital Nursing Program in Pittsfield where she became a Registered Nurse. Christina then became employed for St. Luke’s Hospital and then for the former North Adams Hospital for a short time after which she became a homemaker. Christina was a communicant of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church in Adams. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and in her earlier years enjoyed her summers at the family lake house on Cheshire Lake.
Her husband Edward F. Pringle, whom she married on October 25, 1947, died October 29, 2005. She is survived by a son, Mark R. Pringle and his wife Christina (Tina) of Cheshire, two grandsons, Ryan Pringle of Adams and Braedan Pringle of Cheshire. Two great grandchildren, Hannah Pringle, Aiden Pringle of Adams, and a niece, Judy Rivera of North Adams. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Mullen, a brother, James P. Mullen Jr., and a grandson, John Pringle.
Services and burial in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams will be private, there are no calling hours. The TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME in Adams is in charge of arrangements. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice Care of the Berkshires and Springside for their compassionate care for Christina.
