Terrance E. Kelly, 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Terrance Edward Kelly, 80, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

Born in North Adams on April 6, 1944, he was the son of the late Carmen and Ruth Hughes Cancro. He attended North Adams schools and graduated from Bennington Catholic High School.

After high school he enlisted in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Viet Nam war serving two tours of duty with the “River Rats” on PBR”s from 1962 to 1967.

Terry was last employed at Williams College for the Building and Grounds Dept. He built his home in Readsboro, Vermont where he lived with his wife Tina for thirty years. After his retirement he and his wife traveled cross country in their motor home and spending winters in Arizona. Terry was an outdoor enthusiast and lived life to the fullest, he kept people entertained with his stories and jokes. Terry loved sports and was a diehard Red Sox, Patriot and Bruins fan.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Fortin Kelly of forty years. A daughter, Heather Kelly, a son, Brendon Kelly. At Terry’s request there will be no services,
