Bruce Navom, 71
STAMFORD, Vt. — Dr. Bruce Navom of Stamford passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Born on September 15, 1952 in Hudson, NY to Michael and Shirley Navom. Bruce grew up in Chatham, NY and attended schools there. He later went to Northwestern College of Chiropractic and later became one of the most loved and well-known chiropractors in Berkshire County.
Dr. Navom was most known for his witty sense of humor, which was a big part of why so many people loved him. He always had funny stories to share with others and although he would often poke fun at the people he loved most, he was also very generous and caring. He was a master at the art of bringing a smile to anyone's face. Bruce was a very active individual, in addition to dedicating much of his life to providing the best quality chiropractic care to his countless patients; He contributed to the community for many years as an active member of the Williamstown Lions Club, even acting as the president for a period of time. He was well-known by many motorcycle enthusiasts around the area, as well as avid golfers of Stamford Valley Golf Course in Stamford, VT.
Besides taking his family skiing, golfing and motorcycle riding, Bruce loved not only his family, but his yellow Ford Mustang. That thing was his baby and he took great pride in it. As soon as the ice melted, you would often see him cruising around in it, happy as can be. He also greatly enjoyed working in his garden, riding his tractor (“putzing around” as he would say), and going to his campsite at Cossayuna Lake, NY to relax on the beach, or go up to Maine to visit his daughter and her family.
Bruce was happily married to his wife of almost 39 years, Sandra Navom. Besides his wife, he leaves behind two sons and a daughter, Bryce and wife D.J. of West Virginia, Brandon of North Adams, Julie and husband Nate Pichette of Maine. His sister, Carol and husband Peter Bashford of Florida, and his brother Brian Navom of New York. Additionally he leaves behind three step-sons he considered his own: Robert and wife Kelly Mazzrillo of Virginia, Paul Mazzrillo of North Adams, and Aaron and wife Kaori Mazzrillo of California. He also leaves three grandsons, three granddaughters and a great-grand daughter, all of whom he loved very much and enjoyed spending time with them whenever he had the opportunity.
It's okay to be sad. We all lost a great man. But everyone who had the honor of knowing Bruce Navom is now better for having done it and knows that he would not want you to dwell on it. Think of the time he made you laugh so hard you had to pee. That's the way he wants you to remember him.
