Gary F. Bechard, 77

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mr. Gary F. Bechard, 77, of Adams, died on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

He was born in Adams on August 24, 1946, a son of the late Carleton and Eleanor (Priori) Bechard. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Mr. Bechard last worked at the North Adams Walmart until his retirement. Earlier he had worked for the former W. R. Grace in Adams.

He is survived by his longtime companion Charlene Brassard of Cheshire; his daughter Tamara Menard and her husband Joseph of Glendale, AZ; a granddaughter Cheyenne Menard; his brother Dennis Bechard and his wife Theresa of Westfield and by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Karen Hvizda.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, March 27th from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
