Gerad Young, 43

Gerad Michael Young, 43 of Adams, MA died on Thursday March 14, 2024 at Albany Medical Center.

He was born in Pittsfield, MA on October 15, 1980, a son of Russell L. Young and Diane L. (Green) LaBombard. He attended McCann Technical High School.

Gerad worked as a carpenter for TR Wells Custom Framers. Gerad loved to work and made great relationships with his coworkers. He especially loved being the “cut guy”.

Gerad could make anyone around him laugh and had an infectious smile. He was always the class clown and could make you laugh even in the hard times. Gerad was a great guy and loved passionately and he loved his girlfriend dearly. Gerad loved to be outdoors hiking, fishing and loved to cook, he also had a love for animals. Gerad loved his Massachusetts sports teams but was very passionate about the Patriots.

Survivors include his son and daughter, Abigail Wood and Logan Wood; his mother, Diane L. (Donald) LaBombard of North Adams; his father, Russell L. (Judy) Young of Williamstown; two sisters, Nicole L (Aaron) Delmolino of Adams and Tiffany M. Young of Pittsfield, his companion, Heather Descoteau, maternal grandfather Walter Andrzejewski he also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Isabell Andrzejewski. Gerad’s family would like to thank the staff at Albany Medical Center for their care and support.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Gerad Young will be Tuesday March 26, 2024, from 2-4 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. The burial will be private.
