Robert Vallieres,68

Robert Dennis Vallieres, 68 of North Adams died on Thursday June 22, 2023 at home. He was born in North Adams on July 4, 1954 a son of the late Paul & Dorothy (Garceau) Vallieres.

Robert attended Holy Family Parochial School and graduated from Drury High School. He was employed for the North Adams Public Schools, maintenance department, retiring in 2019. He loved his work.

Robert leaves his wife, Elizabeth (Howell) Vallieres whom he married on February 14, 1976. He also leaves a son, Robert Dennis Vallieres Jr. of Adams and grand daughter Bryianna Marie Vallieres of Pownal VT as well as four sisters, Dorothy Vallieres, Pauline Longtin, Theresa Verrier and Polly Strange, brothers, Arthur Vallieres (Janet), Joseph Vallieres (Shirley), Gerald Vallieres, Thomas Vallieres (Debbie), John Vallieres (Sarah) and Mark Vallieres and his brother-in-law Donald Blay. He was predeceased by a son, Ronald James Vallieres on June 25, 1992, a sister, Mary Blay, brother Paul Vallieres and sister-in-law Dianne Vallieres.

I knew Bobby from working in the North Adams school system. He was a sweet. kind, funny and gracious man who always had a kind word for everyone. He was dedicated to his job and his family. He will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

To all of Bobby's family, I am truly sorry to hear of his passing. Bobby was an amazing man and was a big part of Conte Middle School and Greylock Elementary School.
