Elizabeth "Betty" Boucher, 85

ADAMS, Mass. — Elizabeth Ann (Giorgenti) Boucher, 85 of Adams, MA died on Friday June 2, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.

She was born in North Adams, MA on September 5, 1937, a daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Mangano) Giorgenti. She graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1956.

Betty worked at the former A & P Supermarket and at Roberts Company until it closed. She also worked as a hostess at Boston Seafood Restaurant and the former Goodies Candy Store in Williamstown.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Betty enjoyed attending events at the Spitzer Center and the Clarksburg Senior Center and played in the Retired Women's Bowling League. She also enjoyed trips to the casino. Her family was most important to her and she loved spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was the widow of Roland Bernard Boucher who died on March 7, 2004. They were married on May 12, 1956 in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Survivors include two daughters-Lynn M. (Richard) Bizzi and Kathy A. (David) Dean, both of Adams and one son- Ronald A. (Ellen) Boucher of Clarksburg. She also leaves three grandchildren including Sarah Klein, Joseph Boucher and Meghan Kaiser; ten great grandchildren including Hunter, Hayden, Connor, McKinley, Railyn, Weston, Jack, Elliana, Everyn, and Donovan; one sister- Carole Esposito of North Adams; her companion, Red Richer and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Giorgenti.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Betty Boucher will be celebrated Friday June 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Thursday from 4-7 PM. I am sorry to hear of the passing of Betty. I didn't know her well but saw her regularly at St Elizabeth of Hungary masses. She always had a smile and a pleasant comment for those she met along the way. She was such a beautiful soul.
