Robert S. Erdeski, Sr., 61

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mr. Robert S. Erdeski, Sr., 61. of Adams, died Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after a brief illness.

He was born in Pittsfield on February 6, 1962, a son of the late Walter and Mary (Kabastura) Erdeski and attended Adams schools.

Bob started working with farm animals at a young age and worked on a farm until he entered into the construction trade. He worked for several area contractors until retiring.

He was a member of the Adams Gerbirgs Vereins organization, he loved to go trout fishing and playing a good game of cribbage. He enjoyed being around people; he could often be seen sitting on his front porch enjoying daily conversations with his friends and neighbors. Bob had a quick-witted sense of humor and would often give his friends a good natured teasing, as they passed by.

Bob is survived by his son, Robert S. Erdeski, Jr. of Adams; his sister Elaine Erdeski of Adams; his brother Walter Erdeski, Jr. of Cheshire; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Hope Benoit, on Sept. 5, 2013.

The family would like to thank everyone who assisted in his care including Lisa Butler and his cousin Amy Miglorie, who provided him with overwhelming support while he was hospitalized in Connecticut.

Calling hours to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, June 10th from 12 Noon until 2 PM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
