Barbara J. Louison, 69

ADAMS, Mass. —  Mrs. Barbara Jean (Bassett) Louison, 69, died on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at her home after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

She was born in Adams, the second daughter of the late Wilfred Joseph and Rita Rose Bassett. She attended school in Cheshire and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School.

Following graduation, Barbara went to work for General Electric in Pittsfield working for five years in the power transformer division, then ten years inspecting in the electronics division and retired from the silicone plant in Waterford, NY.

Barbara’s love in life was her one and only husband, Bruce, whom she married on May 26, 1978, in Las Vegas. Her other loves were her cats. She leaves three, Bebe, Ruby and Boo. She enjoyed fishing and flowers.

Barbara’s family would like to thank Hospice Care of the Berkshires who were wonderful. We couldn’t have done it without them. They would also like to thank Amy Vasquez, Brenda Volff, Sue Bishop and Priscilla Lavalley for all their help and support during this difficult time.

Per Barbara’s wishes, there are no funeral services.

The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.

Love you so much Aunt Barb. You were one of the strongest women I have even been blessed to know. You will never know the true impact you've had on my life, my Aunt, my "Mom", my bestfriend. You're in God's hands now, free of pain.
