Phyllis E. Santerre, 92

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Phyllis Elaine (Demastrie) Santerre, 92, of Adams, died Saturday morning, April 22, 2023 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Adams on October 11, 1930, daughter of the late McKinley and Ethel (Raymond) Demastrie and attended Adams schools. Phyllis worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams until retiring. She was a communicant of St. John Paul II Parish at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, and was a member of the Adams Turners for many years.

Her husband, Edward R. Santerre, whom she married on October 1, 1949, died on January 24, 1997.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Paula Santerre; her granddaughter, Megan Puricelli and her husband Matthew; her great grandchildren Sarah McCarthy, Jerald McCarthy and Molly Puricelli; and a great great grandson, Arthur Williams. She was predeceased by her son, Edward R. Santerre, Jr., and her brother, Edward Demastrie. The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 9:30 AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 8:30 until 9:30 AM in the funeral home. So sorry to hear of this lovely ladies passing. Her and my Mom worked together for many years. She always had a smile and a kind word. Please let your memories comfort you at this time. Now both these friends will once again meet in heaven.
