Mary E. Burzimati, 89

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Mrs. Mary E. (Odell) Burzimati, 89, of North Adams, died on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Williamstown Commons.

She was born in Williamstown on March 13, 1934, a daughter of the late Loren and Christina (Stevenson) Odell. She attended schools in Williamstown.

Mrs. Burzimati last worked for the former Zayre’s Department Store in North Adams. Earlier she had worked as the shipping clerk for the former Signet Retail Outlet in Adams.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her extended family. She loved family vacations, traveling and visits with her grand dog Roxie.

Her husband, Frank A. Burzimati, whom she married on January 15, 1955, died on March 21, 1994.

She is survived by her two sons, Lorenzo Burzimati and his wife Jean of Pownal, VT and Frank Burzimati and his wife Darlene of North Adams; ten grandchildren, Lorenzo (Nicole), Adam, Zachary, Lindsay, Marinna (Keith) and McKenna (Jake) Burzimati, Andrea Mook (Jeff) and James (Krystle), Meghan (John) and Trevor Thomas; nine great grandchildren, Molly, Avery, Alaina, Natalia, Lily, Aria, Hunter, John and Ian as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Margaret and Laura Odell and Emma Goodell.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 2nd, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams.

Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.

Calling hours at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, are Monday from 4:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M.

Memorial donations may be made to the Williamstown Commons Patient Activities Fund, 25 Adams Rd., Williamstown, MA 01267 or to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Rd., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
