John J. Tremblay, 77

John (Jack) Joseph Tremblay, 77, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Vermont Veteran's Home in Bennington, VT. after a long illness.

Jack was born Oct. 20, 1945, in Adams, Mass. to John E. Tremblay and Elaine A. (Duperault) Tremblay. He graduated from Drury High School in 1966 where he went on to join the U.S. Army. Upon completing his tour, Jack returned home to North Adams to follow in his father's footsteps and became a Master Electrician for the I.B.E.W. where he worked until he retired.

Jack loved music, playing in a band during many of his younger years. He enjoyed building and using his hands, he had a passion for computers, would debate anyone, and spent much of his time outdoors.

He loved riding his four-wheeler with his beloved dogs Macey and Mia running beside him. Jack was a true family man who always took care of his loved ones and he always wanted to have fun.

Jack is survived by his only child Amy J. Tremblay, with whom he shared with his first wife Jill M. (Delisle) Tremblay.

Jack was predeceased by sisters Carolyn (George) Derby, and Linda J. Reynolds. He leaves his sisters Susan Butler, Janet Tremblay, Sally (Don) Reese and Joyce (James) Miller, and brother in law Robert D. Reynolds as well as nieces and nephews: Christopher Tremblay, Kelli Kozak, April Varellas, Emily Boucher, John Pitroff, Hadley Reynolds, Elizabeth Pitroff. Melissa (Diesz) Tremblay, Peter Derby, Peggy Derby, Rebecca Derby, Billy Derby and many great nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his wife of 18 years Jane (Ellsworth) Tremblay and survived by Jane's five children: Greg Tatro, Geoff Tatro, Angie Tatro, Audrey Volff, Jared Tatro and grandchildren who knew him lovingly as simply "Grampa Jack".

A celebration of life is scheduled for Jack on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at The Greylock Club in North Adams at 1:00 pm under the pavilion.

Donations can be made to: The Vermont Veteran's Home.
