Helen Meczywor, 102

ADAMS, Mass. —  Mrs. Helen Ann (Ziaja) Meczywor, 102, of Adams, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in Adams on September 20, 1920, a daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Orzechowski) Ziaja. She attended schools in Adams.

Helen worked for many years at ALADCO Laundry in Adams until retiring in 1982.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, where she was a longtime member of the Rosary Sodality.

She is survived by her brother, Emil Ziaja of Stark, NY and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Casimer Meczywor; her four brothers, John, Stanley, Edmond and Ernest Ziaja and by her sister Mary Ziaja.

The funeral will be held on Monday, April 17th at 10:30 A.M. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Monday, April 17th from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
