Doris Valentine Scott

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Doris Valentine (Carey) Scott, 100, of North Adams, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Williamstown Commons.

Doris was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 14, 1923 to the late Burl H. & Iva (Valley) Carey. She attended schools in Berwyn and Cicero, Illinois and studied voice at the Chicago Conservatory of Music. She was a professional singer and a watercolor painter for over five decades.

Doris was the widow of Williams Scott who died in 2007. She leaves her children, Ann Scott of North Adams and Erik Scott of Amesbury, MA. She also leaves four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
