Mary Pinkall, 93

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Mary Gloria (Bua) Pinkall, 93 of North Adams, MA died Wednesday March 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born in North Adams, MA on December 4, 1929 a daughter of the late Salvatore and Lena (Corrente) Bua.

Mary attended schools in North Adams, and was later employed by the former H.W. Clark Biscuit Company from 1946-1951. She then joined Sprague Electric Company until her retirement in 1992 after 41 years of loyal service. Mary also was the co owner of the Corner Market in North Adams, with her brother Sam and late husband Fred and good friend, the late John Andrews for 22 years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and the former St. Anthony Church. She was a member of many clubs including the Sprague Quarter Century Club, Sprague Retirees, Stamford Valley Golf Club, former Valley Park Bowling League, and Berkshire County Line Dancing Club. Mary loved vacations, travelling, and spending her weekends with her family playing cards and enjoying dinner. Her husband Fred William Pinkall whom she married September 7, 1957 died October 13, 2009.

Survivors include her brother Salvatore "Sam" Bua of North Adams; her sisters Rose Richard and Madeline "Madge" Andrews and her husband Donald of North Adams; sister in law Rena Bua of Adams, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews. Mary was predeceased by her three siblings Esther Critelli and husband Albert, John Bua, and Carmen “Gus” Bua and wife Mary Ellen. She also was predeceased by sister in law Florence "Flo" Bua and brother in law Al Richard.

Funeral Services for Mary Pinkall will be celebrated on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in care of the funeral home. Madge and Rose, I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. she was a wonderful, sweet woman. I remember her working at Sprague's and coming to our reunion parties for many years. she was a lot of fun at line dancing lessons too. RIP Mary

I worked with Mary at Sprague Electric many years ago when I was just a kid newley married. She was so good to me. She was a proud woman always dressed impeccable. I know she is wearing those spiked heals in heaven. Rest easy Mary. Prayers for her family and friends.
